The model proposed in this paper allows to obtain calculations at different temperatures, pH and substrate concentration by employing pseudo-kinetic parameters.
It was removed the dependence weight factor affecting the xylose consumption, which initially had a physical significance, because it was used as a correction factor.
The model presented in this work, presents lower deviations than other models reported in the literature, when compared against the experimental data.
The model can be used for the development of an optimization algorithm for the production of ethanol.
The model is simple and solution employs measurements easy to obtaining.
